We bring community members together in the joint goal of helping bring joy to the lives of teen and preteen patients of Smilow Cancer Center at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital.

Our mission

​Helping to make the struggle with life threatening diseases a little easier for the preteen and teen population by providing gifts and activities which help to bring smiles to the patients during their hospital stays.

After witnessing how cancer affected the lives of children, I decided that I wanted to do something to help. I met with a Child Life Specialist at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital and was told that the niche that needed to be filled was in helping the preteen and teen population at Smilow Cancer Center celebrate milestones.  With the help of friends, family, and my high school, I was able to found the non-profit corporation "Kids Helping Kids with a Smile, Inc" with our first project being Smiles for Smilow.  I would like to thank Mr. Salutari and Mr. Gage for allowing me to bring the club "Smiles for Smilow" to Daniel Hand HS as well.  Together we can make a difference!
